The notion that the British countryside consists of sleepy villages and boring hills is quite untrue. In fact, the liveliest festivals happen in the UK’s countryside. These places offer the greatest backdrops and most spacious areas.
It’s not just music festivals for adults. Family-friendly festivals are now being held all over the countryside. We’re talking colourful tents, Ferris wheels, and fun haystacks.
July Festival
Lulworth Castle, Dorset – Camp Bestival
The most famous festival that is family-friendly would be happening on July 26-29. Large portions of the area will be for kids! There will be bouncy castles, go-carts, fairground rides, and many more. Plenty of food market vendors and music performers will also be there. It would be like an amazing carnival set on the lush British countryside.
August Festivals
Chew Valley Lake, Somerset – Valley Fest
This festival will occur during the third of August and ends on the fifth. It is the UK’s foremost organic festival. Not only that, but it would also be held on an actual organic farm.
Aside from meeting farm animals, organic food will also be served. Friendly games and competitions will also be held. Adults and children will never get bored at a fun festival like this.
Brecon Beacons, Wales – Green Man Festival
On August 16-19, get a chance to explore an aquatic-themed adventure through the Green Man Festival. This year’s theme will be The Lost City of Atlantis. Set against a lush green meadow, kids and grown-ups alike will surely enjoy it.
